What's brewing? Antibodies! A delicious treatment against gut diseases

Gent

  • Lezing

Today many diseases are being treated with injectable antibodies. Antibodies are protein-base molecules secreted by our body’s immune cells, they are like ammunition against disease targets. Our research group has been able to engineer antibodies so that it can be eaten. Making it convenient to target infections and diseases of the gut. More so, these antibodies are produced in yeast, in a process inspired from beer brewing. Sounds interesting? Come down and let me tell you more about how this edible antibody concept can help prevent tummy problems.
